Victoria Nightwear

Tags

I recently ordered some lovely nightwear named Victoria from Lepel. The champagne colour is even nicer in person, the fine black lace used to decorate it works so well with the design. Its done in a lovely way, i do think you have to be careful with pink/champagne with black can look distasteful.

I treated myself to the chemise, cami, french knickers and brief in the size small (they didn’t do an extra small) and an 8 in the brief. The overall fit is good but if your small busted like me theres some extra room up top.I will take the top areas in, as well as the waist on the french knicker/shorts.

The Chemise fits fairly close to the body which gives a good shape. The cami fabric slightly comes out from the bust point and falls down nicely. The waist was a bit big on the shorts but the overall fit around was rather flattering and i liked the small slits on the side. The back of the briefs are made out of a small mesh fabric which looks good on and adds a bit of excitement. Overall the satin feel of the fabric is very soft and comftable to wear. It’s a rather thin fabric but enough to cover well.

Overbust Corset With Beaded Motifs

I’ve recently and finished working on a new corset I designed and made.It took me about a month. I originally had made this as a toile and loved it so much i decided to dye it black and finish it properly.I took the waist in by 2 inches to really cinch it in.

I encountered the problem of the white stitching not dying ( because i used nylon not cotton thread silly me!).I solved this by placing navy and black velvet ribbon either sides of the boning channels which i think really makes the channels stand out and links in well with the Iridescent dark beading. There are a few different shades of black in my corset i did this so it ‘breaks it up’ and its got more dept to it. I love the beaded motif’s and the way they capture the light, I placed the smaller ones over the hips to exscunuate the waist.

A professional photo shoot was organsied with my good friend & model Lotte. We are still waiting on the photos back ( the sneak peaks looks great ) as well as some photos of my other designs I have not yet posted.

Mesh Underbust Corset Review

This is a Mesh Underbust Corset with steel boning (20 inch waist) made by Playgirl .I was very suprised to find it at just £60, similar designed ones I’ve been looking at were all £200 plus. The mesh material looks great up against the skin or over various colours. No modesty panel enables you to clearly see all the lacing which looks great and really shows off the shape. The mesh material is suprisingly strong and feels fairly robust, the steel boning helps bring in the wiast even more.

While wearing the corset its fairly comftable I lace myself fairly tight and let it ‘sit’ for about half an hour. After this i am able to lace myself up even tighter and wear it for a good few hours. When i do take it off however i do have marks where the boning and lacing has imprinted but it usually fades within half an hour.

Overeall I would rate this corset highly for the price, design and quality. It is however  a fashion corset so if you were looking to waist train I would recomend the brand Burleska which do great ones!

I’m very pleased to finally fininshed making the corset for my internship.I have made their corset for a shop sample which is a 26 inch waist. It’s made out of waxed cotton coutill with over 40 pieces of boning! The Bias Binding has been hand stiched on the inside which gives it a lovely finish! I had a few struggles along the way but thats half the learning process, learning how to do it properly and having the patience to keep redoing it untill its spot on!

Today I found a Victoria’s Secret Basque in the retro shop Rokit. It fitted really well and wasn’t bad for £20 the lace is lovely, unfortunately not all of the suspender clips were that but il change them.I treated myself to a Mac lipstick called Ruby Woo, the colour is a true red and matte texture. It went on well and seems to last a long time before reapplying!

I took a trip to Brighton the other day and had a good look around all the shops especially the vintage/second hand ones! I was very pleased to find a bustier from the late 1950’s in excellent condition for just £25! I did try researching the make/brand but nothing came up.Here are some photos of my find ( I do need to adjust the cups if I want to wear it and not store it)

Monday 14th Oct was Cosmos’s Lingerie Show held up in London at One Marylebone. One Marylebone was a stunning location especially with the pink & purple lighting and architecture. The evening was from 7pm-11pm and it went very quickly for me!

Stalls were there such as Freya,Rigby and Peller,Fig Leaves,Gossard,Coppafeel,Paul Mitchell Hair,Nail Bar,Ann Summers and A Bra Fitting service. It was so interesting previewing all the lingerie and getting a real insight into all the brands and lingerie world. The catwalk show showed off the brands latest looks and collections and all the models looked gorgeous! We were treated to some tasty canapés and free cocktail/wine/copperfield while we waited for the show to start and throughout the evening.I was very impressed with the quality and service of the catering.

I was lucky enough to receive some great goody bags, and freebies curtsy of Cosmo,Freya,Fig Leaves and i bought a lucky dip bag for the charity Coppafeel with great items of lashes and nail varnish.Coppafeel is a great charity set up to make women aware of breast cancer and to encourage them to check themselves to help save lives. They are currently getting lingerie brands on board to include a label in bras to encourage us to check our breasts which is a amazing idea! Overall i had a great evening and I’m thankful to of won tickets from Ann Summers so Thank You Ann Summers and Cosmo for a lovely experience!

Leather Corset

A few days ago i started making a leather corset. I’m very pleased with it and it took me about a day on and off.I drafted a pattern from an old top and adjusted it when needed, i added a few darts in on the mannquein to make it sit better.I added lots of plastic boneing into this one and sewed in bra cups (which i found rather tricky to pin in correct place because of my ribs) which helped make it very sturdy. I also added on rouched leather around the neckline to exsenuate the bust and cover my ribs nicely! I made the cord extra long so i could tie it around my waist cinching it in further creating more of an hourglass shape.I made the lining out of a red cotton which goes well with the black creating a ‘Louboutin’ feel

Here are some photos of the corset….

This is a good idea to add to some water (filtered is better for you) for more vitamins ,mineral and it tastes refreshing to! just store in a jug in the fridge make sure you leave it over night or for about 8 hours so it has time to do its stuff!also use within a day or two enjoy…

Ingredients to add
