I took a trip to Brighton the other day and had a good look around all the shops especially the vintage/second hand ones! I was very pleased to find a bustier from the late 1950′s in excellent condition for just £25! I did try researching the make/brand but nothing came up.Here are some photos of my find ( I do need to adjust the cups if I want to wear it and not store it)
Monday 14th Oct was Cosmos’s Lingerie Show held up in London at One Marylebone. One Marylebone was a stunning location especially with the pink & purple lighting and architecture. The evening was from 7pm-11pm and it went very quickly for me!
Stalls were there such as Freya,Rigby and Peller,Fig Leaves,Gossard,Coppafeel,Paul Mitchell Hair,Nail Bar,Ann Summers and A Bra Fitting service. It was so interesting previewing all the lingerie and getting a real insight into all the brands and lingerie world. The catwalk show showed off the brands latest looks and collections and all the models looked gorgeous! We were treated to some tasty canapés and free cocktail/wine/copperfield while we waited for the show to start and throughout the evening.I was very impressed with the quality and service of the catering.
I was lucky enough to receive some great goody bags, and freebies curtsy of Cosmo,Freya,Fig Leaves and i bought a lucky dip bag for the charity Coppafeel with great items of lashes and nail varnish.Coppafeel is a great charity set up to make women aware of breast cancer and to encourage them to check themselves to help save lives. They are currently getting lingerie brands on board to include a label in bras to encourage us to check our breasts which is a amazing idea! Overall i had a great evening and I’m thankful to of won tickets from Ann Summers so Thank You Ann Summers and Cosmo for a lovely experience!
A few days ago i started making a leather corset. I’m very pleased with it and it took me about a day on and off.I drafted a pattern from an old top and adjusted it when needed, i added a few darts in on the mannquein to make it sit better.I added lots of plastic boneing into this one and sewed in bra cups (which i found rather tricky to pin in correct place because of my ribs) which helped make it very sturdy. I also added on rouched leather around the neckline to exsenuate the bust and cover my ribs nicely! I made the cord extra long so i could tie it around my waist cinching it in further creating more of an hourglass shape.I made the lining out of a red cotton which goes well with the black creating a ‘Louboutin’ feel
Here are some photos of the corset….
This is a good idea to add to some water (filtered is better for you) for more vitamins ,mineral and it tastes refreshing to! just store in a jug in the fridge make sure you leave it over night or for about 8 hours so it has time to do its stuff!also use within a day or two enjoy…
Ingredients to add
These are very hydrating vegetables because there mostly made up of water, adding them to water also draws draws out the minerals
This gets the effect of citrus acid and helps to cleanse the digestive system
This goes well with the other ingredients as well as having a fair few benefits
This is one of the best recipes I’ve come across for scones and the cherries make it extra tastie! ( of course with lots of clotted cream too).Pre heat oven to 230 c , and prepare a greased baking tray
- 60g Flora margarine
- 340g self raising flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespons caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 100ml semi-skimmed milk
- 100g glace cherries
- Place flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl and rub in butter
- Stir in sugar and cherries
- Then blend in egg and milk to form a soft dough
- Put dough onto a lightly floured surafce and knead, roll out about 1/2 inch thick and use a scone cutter to cut out
- place the cut out pieces onto the baking tray and bake in the centre of the oven and bake for about 10 minutes
To help a friend out ( to build up her portfolio) i happily agreed to help her out modelling for some photos, she was going for a pin up/retro feel to them which i think she achieved well and am pleased with the results too!

I have always had trouble with my problem skin, hopeing i would grow out of it it still hasn’t happened but a couple of things did help, drinking lots of water helps flush out the toxins.
I have been using Liz Earle i bought the small travel sizes to see how i got on.I’m pleased with the results i have been using them for little over 4 weeks. The redness has cleared up and my spots alot less visable and ‘flatter’ so my skin is easier to cover up with foundation.I purchased the hot and polish, mosituriser and tonic spray ( cleanse, tone & moisturize) combined with sudo cream dapped on my more prominent spots my face looks alot clearer as you can see below
I don’t tend to wear eye shadow at all but I thought I’d play around with some to try make my eyes pop.My eyes are hazel but with more green, if you look on a colour wheel you will know purple is opposite to green, and this contrast is what should make the eyes really stand out!! I wanted to do a fairly minimal look so it doesn’t look to oot or garish.
I used a dusty purple to sweep all over the eye and blended in, Next I used a purple eye liner on the top lid very thinly and smudged in using my finger.I finished off with a few strokes of mascara and wahla done!
